Great Lakes Group announces new management hires

The Great Lakes Group has announced recent new hires to the company’s management team: Thomas Rigolo, Shipyard General Manager; Kirsten Buccigrossi, Director, Marketing & Communications; and Emery Eiber, Quality, Health, Safety, Security, and Environment Manager.

Tom Rigolo, Great Lakes Shipyard General Manager

Tom Rigolo is a senior shipbuilding executive with 25-plus years of experience in hands-on engineering and high-level leadership. He has a proven record of creating efficiencies, quality improvements and growth in some of the most successful shipyards in the country. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering and has a Bachelor of Science in Naval Architecture from the U.S. Naval Academy.

Kirsten Buccigrossi has over 12 years of operations, logistics and marketing experience in the maritime industry both afloat and ashore. She has a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Akron and a 100-ton Masters License. Her focus will be on building the company’s brand, presence and business development opportunities through strategic marketing, public relations, business consulting and project management.

Emery Eiber is a 2015 State University of New York Maritime graduate with a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering and a U.S. Coast Guard 3rd Assistant Engineers license. He has gained a variety of marine engineering and vessel operations experience during his work as a 3rd Assistant Engineering Officer for The Interlake Steamship Company and as a Project Engineer Intern with Great Lakes Shipyard.
