Michigan Coastal Zone Management Program announces funding opportunity
The Office of the Great Lakes’ Coastal Zone Management (CZM) Program has released a Request for Proposals (RFP) for fiscal year 2018 projects that protect Great Lakes coastal resources by contributing to the development of environmentally, economically and socially vibrant coastal communities.
“This program provides vital grant funds to help coastal communities become more resilient, protect their unique ecosystems and develop their economic opportunities,” said CZM Program Manager Ronda Wuycheck.
Grant funds are made available by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, pursuant to the CZM Act of 1972. The CZM Program anticipates $700,000 in grant funds will be available in the 2018 funding cycle. Complete applications must be postmarked or hand-delivered, no later than December 16.
