Shuster announces transportation committee selections for 115th Congress
Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman Bill Shuster (R-PA) announced January 23 his selections for Full Committee Vice Chairman and six Subcommittee Chairmen for the 115th Congress.
“Last Congress, the committee was successful in advancing policies to strengthen America’s infrastructure and preserve the nation’s competitiveness,” said Chairman Shuster. “The enactment of 56 public laws, including the Fixing America’s Surface Transportation Act and the Water Infrastructure Improvements for the Nation Act, could not have happened without the hard work and support of our excellent leadership team.
“The 115th Congress will present new opportunities for the committee to advance a bold agenda focused on building an American infrastructure that is prepared for the challenges of the 21st Century. I am confident that our committee is up to the task with the return of our Full Committee Vice Chairman and our accomplished and capable slate of Subcommittee Chairmen,” Shuster added.
The Vice Chairman and Subcommittee Chairmen are expected to be confirmed at the committee’s first organizational meeting of the year, which will be announced at a later date. Chairman Shuster’s selections for the committee’s leadership team are:
